Village Hall, Hemingford Abbots, 1st Wed every month (exc. Aug) 7.30 p.m.
Hemingford Abbots WI is proud to be celebrating it's centenary in 2019. Our itinerary for the year has been chosen to focus on national and local Federation campaigns including the environment and mental health issues and of course the odd party or two to celebrate this special year.
We are a warm and friendly group of some 30 members from Hemingford Abbots, Hemingford Grey and surrounding towns and villages. New members will be warmly welcomed. For enquiries please contact Janine Hamilton, President, 01480 390505.
Become a Dementia Friend. Jan Payne, Dementia Friend Champion from the Alzheimer's Society will be talking to members about what it's like to live with dementia and will help us to turn that understanding into action to make a positive difference to people living with dementia in our community.

A glimpse back .......
Our January meeting started with an opportunity to vote on which cause we would like to support from those under consideration by NFWI. The majority of members agreed on "A call against the decline in local bus services" - an issue which we believe affects many rural areas.
Members then embarked on one of the projects we will be working on to mark our centenary - the making of 100 items for charity. Many of these items will be completed at the new WI craft group which will be held on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm at the Village Hall - All welcome including non WI members.
